How can I export custom Images from Alibaba Cloud ECS Instance?



I keep creating multiple ECS Instances on 'Pay-As-You-Go' basis for testing various tech stacks.



I can't keep the instance in the stopped state since I can create maximum instances of 10.



I want to export the whole environment/setup in the ECS instance as an Image.



How can I do that?

There is some limitation to keep in mind before we talk about export function.



Steps to export System/Data Image:



Open a ticket with support to activate the image export feature. Describe the use cases of the exported images in the ticket.



Activate OSS and make sure that the region where your custom images are located has an available OSS bucket.



Log on to the ECS console.
